    Hi,

If it is first property purchase for SMSF and cost of property is less than 600000, Does the SMSF required to pay Stamp Duty or is it exempt as it is first home for SMSF.

Have to pay Stamp duty, no exemptions. Is someone helping with the process? It is a lot more involved than buying in personal names.

A SMSF cannot have a "home". It acquires an investment property and the tenancy must be unrelated etc. Therefore no exemptions, concessions or reductions. And the SMSF wont actually be acquiring the property either if borrowed money is being used. The buyer will be the trustee of the custodian trust.
