    Unfortunately existing Portfolio Loan customers are getting screwed over....and variable rates are still at 5.29%

    @Dean Collins have you tried threatening refinance for lower rates? Have seen this work successfully on many an occasion

    If you sound like you know what you are talking about then might have a better chance at rate improvement...

    something like "My variable rate is 5.29% which is only a 1.03% discount off the variable rate, and I know for a fact that the majors are all giving 1.55% off the investment variable rate"
