    Hi All,

Need your expert advise on splitting 1 house to 2 flats - front and back.
What we need is to close the hallway and add kitchen at the front. car space for each flat.
    House is located in Sydney

1.Do we need to get council approval for this or not
    2.How to split electric/water/gas,
3.Which property agent can manage dual occupancy
4.Can we get insurance for this split arrangement
5.It is worth it to do dual occupancy - anyone wants to share their experience?

Greatly appreciate your advice :) Big thank you

    Virginia

How are you intending on fire separation of the two units?
Is it permitted under the LEP/DCP?

You will definitely need council approval.
