    Hi everyone,

Together with @jazzsidana, a Melbourne based Mortgage Broker who is also an experienced property investor, we have officially launched our brand new Podcast called “Spark your F.I.R.E”!

A little background on the inception of this Podcast - it was a pure coincidence that Jazz and I discovered we are very similar to each other, in terms of our previous work background (both in IT and both acting in the ERP space!), we’re both very passionate about property investing, has gone through various property acquisitions in various states and now wanting to be able to help other investors with what we learnt throughout our journey...so many similarities that we thought it would be a no brainer for us to do something together!

So after months of preparation and collaboration - Spark Your F.I.R.E is born!

The goal of the Podcast is to be able to educate our listeners about money concepts and wealth creation through property. We also want to be able to inspire our listeners with different stories & lessons learnt from various successful property investors. So we will be inviting different guests onto the show down the line to share their own stories too.

As an initial line up, we have released the first 3 episodes last week and the 4th episode earlier this morning:
    1. Invest early without sacrificing your lifestyle - with Jazz & David
    2. Key differences between investing in your 20s, 30s or 40s - with Jazz & David
    3. Things to consider when investing as a single, couple or as family - with Jazz & David
    4. What is Rentvesting and pros/cons of Rentvesting – with Jazz and David

They are now available on iTunes (Apple) and PodBean (Android)
iTunes: Spark Your Fire by Jazz Sidana and David Shih on Apple Podcasts
    PodBean: Spark Your Fire

Moving forward we’ll be releasing 1 new episode at beginning of the week so stay tuned! We also love any suggestions or feedback from you - simply reply to this thread. We are here to help and want to be able to add as much value to your investment journey as possible!

    Enjoy your short week!

    Cheers,
    David

If the podcast is anywhere near as good as your “investment lessons”, it will be epic. I’ve subscribed. Looking forward to listening to it on my commute.

Thanks @Noobieboy we'll definitely do our best :)
I think the good thing here is also we get a taste of what @jazzsidana can also bring to the table, plus other guests down the track.

Definitely keen to know your thoughts and feedback once you've had a listen.

    Cheers,
    David

    Guys, great podcast.

One thing that I would’ve like to hear, considering the portfolio size, is some commentary on portfolio diversification as part of managing the investment strategy risk. There was some talk surrounding the in sector investment types & cash buffer but I don’t recall any real talk about the long term structures to ensure consistent cashflow & use equity, other than continue to grow the portfolio. This indicates to me that either there is no thought on diversification outside of property or a conscious decision not to do so. Not sure which & why....

I have sent a link to my 16 year old son to listen to in his free periods at school as he was telling me he was bored. I like how it has started with good and bad debt and at his level as a upcoming investor.
