    Trump can currently claim that Merica has the most powerful army/navy/airforce in the world, I wonder how he'll like claiming that he has the 2,643,843,856th most powerful spaceforce in the universe! :D

    Ditto for much of the 3.1% of GDP spent on defence.

    However, it wouldn't make much of a dint in the 17.9% of GDP spent on health care. I think the problems in US healthcare are more to do with things other than money required.

    The Russian Space Forces were officially reborn on June 1, 2001 as an independent section of the Russian military. They regained independence under one of the many military reorganisation plans of the mid-late 1990s. Colonel General Anatoly Perminov was appointed to lead the new Space Forces.[9] He was succeeded by General Vladimir Popovkin in 2004 and General Oleg Ostapenko in 2008 until dissolution in 2011.[10]

    On the 1 August 2015, the Space Forces were reestablished as part of the Russian Aerospace Forces.    .

    Technically it's his 2020 reelection team.

    It's amazing though that they just happened to have logos all ready without knowing anything about the possibility of a new Space Force.

    To be clear: there were no "threads" deleted. There have been posts deleted, including the one you complained about. Would you rather I have not deleted the post you wanted deleted?

    Either way, Casteller's post has been deleted. It was reported by multiple members and the moderators were waiting for me to decide on the appropriate course of action. Of course, by then the thread had moved on and I had to clean up a few more posts as well.

    There is no conspiracy here - it's a Sunday and I'm trying to balance between spending time with my family and cleaning up after you lot who don't seem to be able to have a discussion without resorting to personal insults. On both sides of the argument.

    So much hypocrisy from everyone when people get upset about someone making a general comment (not a personal one) after having done exactly the same thing on multiple occasions themselves.

    I will no longer tolerate anyone labelling people on this site with derogatory terms relating to politics (or anything else) or making snide remarks - even in general terms. If you want to talk about politics - stick to the topic and talk about politics. If you can't do that without resorting to the derogatory terms, your posting rights here will be removed.

    Posts were observations and generalisations, there were no personal attacks.

    The spaceforce idea is just another illogical but ego boosting temporary thought bubble from Trump, his underlings will distract and divert with some shiny things until the idea fades behind the next impulse.
