Lovely area, but if you're working in the CBD, I'd consider moving a lot further in (the crawl along all the roads from Redland Bay into the city, especially in peak hour, are getting worse each year).

Thank you. Local knowledge is what I'm relying on. I've a young family 2 and 7. We hope to be working in the Capalaba area. Any suggestions on where to buy. I only said Redland bay because there is value to be had there. Cheers

You can take a surf on the waves before and after work. Actually, there are no waves

    What about Capalaba itself?

Or Birkdale/Wellington point if you want to be closer to the water.

Victoria point is not far from Capalaba either

+1 for Victoria Point. In the warmer months, it tends to get breezes later in the day (and I think Redland Bay is likely to be the same).

While some pockets of Birkdale appear quite lovely, I'm not too sure I'd consider Capalaba (I've heard some of the locals call it Crapalaba.......)

your kids are young but poor access to tertiary education and low participation - transport might improve?

Hop in the car to UQ St Lucia (where I went), or train into the city for QUT :) no reason why the area someone lives should stop them going to uni!

Wynnum/Manly/Lota are all good options, and very close to Capalaba.

It's a top spot. Good schools, 40m train to city.

Lots going on in the area.
