Better question; what's the common denominator?

Tricky question, as both are horrific atrocities, but I'ma go with Islam on this one.

I love science. It never ceases to amaze me. Constantly learning. Constantly getting my mind blown. We live in an amazing universe.

It is a tricky one. But if you take into consideration the flow on effects of child abuse, which leads to more abuse and an ongoing cycle. Then Id have to give it to the catholic church.

What about Northern Ireland? Catholics vs Protestants. The Christian Church has a strong history of violence and terrorism too.

Not taking sides but simply an observation. I find it interesting that Australian Muslims are called out to condemn any act of violence committed in the name of Islam. Whereas during the Northern Ireland conflict, I don't recall Australian Christians being asked to condemn the acts of violence committed by Christians in Northern Ireland.

That's interesting because I was raised in an organised religion then went on to study science at uni. I dropped out because I found the scientists to be more dogmatic than the religious educators I grew up with. (As an aside, I love science too. I placed in the top 10% of the state in year 12 Biology final exams).

Wasn't that due to retaliation against the Poms for occupying their Country?

I never paid much attention to all that over there.

Can't say. I just remember at the time that I was disgusted that Christians would commit acts of terror.

Both sides are christian and they are fighting about land and independence. I think religion would be a secondary issue to nationality. Im not sure if Gerry Adams and Co go to mass but Ian paisely, the loyalist leader was also a Protestant minister (!?)

    Sadly; 100% correct.

Well; later this year the gals have their chance to do something towards that regard..provided Hillary wins.

Imagine the Church/s if they suddenly made it compulsory for all preists or whatever they're all called to have a woman in the room with them whenever they were needing to discuss anything or do anything with a child parishioner....what a laugh that'd be.

The other aspect of it - religion nutjobs - I don't know what you do about that except eradicate all religion...

Now you all know why I have such a high opinion of religions.

The examples through history are endless...but we're all about peace and love and lifting humanity to a higher level and all that....so long as you do it our way.

I think nutjobs would find an excuse to be nutty with or without religion.

Celibacy is a stupid policy but i dont think it explains or excuses the wave of pedophiles. They would still be abusing kids if they weren't priests.

WWI and II were not religious wars. Athiests have probably killed more people than 'religious nut jobs' (mao/stalin/pol pot).

I think fighting someone who is of a different religion just helps with the fury and self justification.

Name me one US President who was not "Of God and Country".

You could probably add every UK PM to that list too....gotta suck up to the Queen.

But anyway; yes - you don't have to be a religious idiot to be a bad dude - also illustrating my dislike for most of our species.

The fact that billions are religious along with all that merely adds more to the mockery of our intelligence as a species.

Religion encourages ignorance and organises fanatics.

Its kind of like the gun debate in America. Bad people would probably hurt others regardless, but guns make it easier for them.

It's got a lot of famous people in it, pretty good film.
It's one of this movies that you think is a bit far fetched - but truth is stranger than fiction.
    Pedo priests everywhere.
