    Its state rail land. After numerous restructures it possible the property isnt even any specific responsibility and was forgotten. I can bet the family of the deceased knew what the game was and just put their heads down. They may all need to find new housing now its out as they also occupy properties on state rail land too. Nothing gives better vengeance than a public servant after media make them look bad.

    Years ago, I was working for a state housing department. They received a maintenance invoice for a house that they didn’t know they owned.

    They conducted an investigation and found out it was actually one of theirs :D.

    Then they decided to do an audit and found something like 200 properties (around 10%) missing from the Housing Register :eek:.

    At the time, I could never work out how one could “forget” 200 houses.

    I am a bit older (and hopefully wiser) these days ;).
