I'm selling and not sure whether it's better to engage a solicitor or conveyancer and also whether it's best they are in sydney where the property for sale is located or would country nsw be ok?

I would always advise someone to use a solicitor rather than a conveyancer as they are more properly trained and sometimes a mere conveyance can necessitate the advice of a lawyer.

Any lawyer than does NSW conveyancing will do, they don't have to be located in NSW and don't even have to be practiciing in NSW>

I used Murray Groom from Metro Conveyancing to purchase a property 1.5 years ago and was very happy with him. I am not affiliated with him. PM me if you would like his email.

I have used Kydon Segal/click conveyancing for many years now, both buying and selling, and find them efficient and professional. They focus one side of their business on conveyancing but also have solicitors.

Thanks for all the responses. Does anyone have an idea of how much a solicitor should cost? I have been quoted $1300 as a seller, is this too much?

We've used JJ Honeyman & Associates several times (George Pashalis is the solicitor) and can highly recommend them.

I use K&T Legal (Sydney). Very prompt and accommodating.
