Yep will be interesting to see what the outcome of this is. It's all part of the fun :)

History has shown that every "crisis" is just a great buying opportunity as eventually all markets recover and the first to do so will be crypto.

For those interested, there is a great way to hedge Bitcoin/crypto.
Buy the following pair when you want to hedge.
    PAXG/BTC

This is my golden goose for the bear market and for hedging against events like this :) happy to discuss further with those interested.

$325k in TrueAUD paying 12% pa gives $750 a week.

If only there was a $250k government guarantee on that!

Yeah it's all a matter of diversification, not just which DEFI platform but also which stablecoin as some of them are a bit dodgy. It's hard to believe some of these "blue chip" platforms like Curve have only been around for a year or two we get so used to them, I guess in crypto years that's a long time.

In a few years when these things get connected to the fiat world things are going to be crazy. Imagine earning close to the rate that the bank lends your money out at, only paying a small cut instead of covering banks massive overheads.

The biggest risk to stables will be in the bear market.
Some of these platforms will go bust/get hacked/get regulated.

So its important to do due diligence.

    Depends on the token.

More concerned about the earn rates on a stable coin than the coin itself. (where an exchange holds your stable coin and goes and buys bitcoin whilst paying you interest)

While you're talking about exchanges/businesses, I did mean DEFI not a central party.
E.g. Curve where stablecoin pairs are used in a smart contract for trading between them, and no party has access to them except your own keys and the code in the contract. The risks are different (i.e. smart contract bugs), but there's no company behind the scenes secretly using the money for something else.

At first I was thinking WTF it went up, then I realised it was in AUD!

You gotta quote in USD or you'll give someone a heart attack
