I'm not really a golfer but willing to have a go. Some ideas to make it work for a non golfer? Golf formats, golf games to play, singles, groups, outings, side bets
The only game for these events is Ambrose - you can be totally hopeless, but it doesn't matter one bit in the team...everyone can pull out a good shot to contribute now and then under this format. I'd love to come to this, but it's too far for me, really...maybe a bit of fore-planning and work it into my life somehow..would do it over a couple of days as a long-weekend or short hol. We could do it really well; organise an Ambrose event, and if anyone is interested; set up a pre-game Golf Clinic for the guys and girls at the selected venue - conducted by yours truly. All for free of course; it'd be a hoot. Then, a bit of lunch and then golf. The Club/Course would need to have a proper practice fairway and allow me permission to conduct it.
I play a little around Sydney. I have an injury right now but should be good in the new year some time.
The Club Pro where I grew up shot a 38 on the front nine with just his putter. His name was Ted Naismith.
