Qld is a big place. Brisbane stats would be more relevant to most investors.

Anyway, here's another way to look at it. The differential between Sydney and Brisbane was around 85% last boom. Say poor immigration and employment stats means it won't even get to 70-75% this time, that still means anyone who's purchased within the last few years is set for a tremendous upside. We don't need it to reach 85% again to make some serious coin:)

While it is good to be informed we cannot control outside factors such as these circumstances, what you can do about it is how you deal with it? If you have IP strategy stick to it...
As my mentor Jim Rohn said, "we need to plan for the winters ahead", winters - meaning challenges, setbacks, illnesses and so on. But remember life is like the seasons, what comes after winter if we are prepared? Spring times - meaning opportunities, then summer, autumn and so on.
Whether you like it of not the seasons will come an go and as such challenges and opportunities, which are out of our control. Hence no point in worrying but it is better to be prepared!
For example, plan to invest outside BRI in the long term....?

QLD needs to sack half the public service. I am sure the electorate would appreciate the need for costs savings and then would definitely not vote the government out and the others back in who rehire not only all those sacked but thousands extra........

Well, Campbell Newman tried that and look what happened to him!

Guarantee that no one will ever do that again...

But I do totally agree with you.

Well !! you never know, it can be started by investors ;) No need for employment to be a pre-existing condition.
