When we were in exmouth wa we saw at least 30 turtles in the water.... breeding season ;) they were going at it for ages the sickos.the females wash them selves up on the shore to avoid the unwanted attention. Very cool sight to see

Best time is mid to late January. Took the kids to Mon Repos years ago around Australia Day when we stayed in the caravan park beside the beach and could wander up and down all night. We saw both laying and hatching. A nest had to be relocated as it was too close to the water so each kid was given an egg to carry up into a new nest the ranger dug in the sand dunes. Much different now!

I went to Tokyo, Kyoto, Hanois and Luang Prabang (Laos) this year and did the usual emails back to people at home. Didn't post them here, though. I could probably dig them out.

I started sending emails to my dad who never travelled for a few reasons. Other people ended up getting them - some of them people I didn't know. Dad died some years ago, but there was an expectation the emails continue. I'll dig out the ones from the January trip.
