    Same problems with child proof windows in NSW, our strata quoted us some ridiculous figure last year.....sometimes have to wonder how much under the table graft is going on with how poor their quotes are.

    To be honest, I don't know how they make any money (but clearly they must).

    I think we paid $70 per year, and that at times means minimum one visit, very likely two and sometimes three. I know each visit takes only ten minutes, but someone has to drive there, drag a ladder out, waste time if they cannot get in for any reason, tenant has gone out etc.

    There are staff, vehicles, offices to pay for. I guess it is like insurance. Those that have only one easy visit a year are paying for the properties that require three visits.
