what is your definition of a "Slum lord " .
Americans use this term for buildings in the slum type areas that are rented out to liw income earners some without even electrcity !!

Reminds me of some Regional areas .
I remember when I held a villa in Wagga Wagga the tenant requested that steel bars be put on the front window which I denied, later it occurred to me that he would be dealing through that window.
This was in a low income part of Wagga Wagga.with old cars parked in front of the villa .

I think I speak for everyone in congratulating you on your recent progress, if u keep this up you'll be reaching Star of David heights in no time.

That was more of an explosive start but sometimes slow burns like your current effort lead to better results in the long term.

To me, a slumlord is a landlord who rents out a place that is dirty, unkempt and who doesn't fix things. The tenants will generally match the house.

At least this is better then talking about holes in toilet cubicles drilled in the walls as young people also read within sites like this ,there are no slum lords in this country and if there was they would be on those crying game 6.30 tv shows that ruins peoples family time each night..

Blackly I don't watch the TV,and every time I have talked to "DT" in the chat room as I have a few times he does not seem to be a slum lord just a normal person trying to have a better life through investing and the bumps that come with that road,i don't even know what business model he runs..

D.T used to have a 'tag' on the SS forum that he was a slumlord. Hence the joke ;)

Well over half my rent is paid by Centrelink and one of my "houses" doesn't have an internal toilet. Do I qualify?

Ohhhhh! We dream of an outdoor privy. We used to share the one in the local park with the rest of the neighbourhood.

A quick dunk in the Yangtze and we'd be squeeky clean.

My personal properties are all in lower socio econ areas in WA / SA which sometimes warrants the title for some.
