What are people’s thoughts on sloped backyards?

I’ve found the following place as an IP but want to know whether it is a poor investment based on the negatively sloped backyard.

Other than that there are lots of elements I like about the property/location.

It depends on what you want to do with it. But the slope in the pictures you have provided seems pretty gentle. I wouldn't think that this level of slope would present a problem and I don't think it would impair your investment.

It's sloping the correct way from a feng-shui perspective :)

It is not a massive slope. You may need to consider / invest in drainage but I would not be scared by that

If you look at the backyard, it slopes down towards the house. Wouldn't this be bad from a feng-shui perspective haha

I just want to buy and hold for now. Could look to put in a retaining wall in time but thats about it.

    What about the following:

    https://www.realestate.com.au/property/54-pullford-st-chermside-west-qld-4032

Both houses seem to be elevated, would this be better or no difference really?

No - "mountain to the back" is a position of strength (damned if I know what happens if the enemies overrun your mountain!!).

In more conventional terms, sloping from back to front means you are on the "high side of the street" which means cars don't drive into your house by accident. :D
