    Hiya

Is there a easy decision as to building on a slab or stumps...

ie: ground floor height is graduating towards 600mm as block has slight slope, thus drafty making mention that perhaps consider stumps...

Assuming a lot more concrete would be required = lot more costs vs stumps....

And as for walls between adjoining townhouses, what are the options there.... double brick walls or other alternate / cheaper options - timber frame pro's / con's..... (sorry for the ignorance)

I'm old school - strip footings then decide upon infill slab on fill, bondek or piers, bearers & joists.

Mentioned this elsewhere - why isn't your designer all over this?

    Site cut ?
600mm just isn't all that much.

Many different options on fire rating a wall between buildings/units

Best to discuss with drafty or builder

Yep, builder and drafty have their plans & take on this.

Its just gr8 to get other people’s input from the forum before i go into meeting a little green on these things

    Cheers

I wouldn't do stumps for 600mm especially if the market in the area probably has a preference for slab. I would probably gradually cut the block depending on how many units there are which would only need a down turned edge on the slab most likely

Can't really think of a justification for stumping at 600mm.
Unless there is a reason not too, my preference would be to retain, and fill up. Give yourself a nice, high, flat, base for your slab.
