    Hey guys,
just thought i'd throw this on the forum here before i commit to the quote in case someone had a similar experience...
Latest storm caused a bit of damage and basically as per photos, Skylight diffuser is damaged and needs replacement.
Quote organised by IP manager came at around 1000$ and that seems pretty excessive to my mind. Only two bricks need changing but they want to order 20!

    Seems about right!?

    Cheers

Sounds about right to me, that diffuser materials supposed to be fairly strong so not cheap, add to that labour & other materials.
Surprised it cracked like that, the stuff I have can take a shot gun blast (I got it from a local perspex supplier). I'm guessing whoever cut/installed (screws) it did an oop's in that spot, weakened it.

Can't see any bricks, related or different job area?

Whats the excess on insurance claim?

Thanks for that @WestOz. Apparently it was a very damaging hail storm around the hills area in Sydney. I got away lightly too by the looks of it.

Yeah not sure about the bricks either so will check with my IP manager about it.

Excess is around 2500$ for any building related works!
