I'm unsure if it was my PM that making up excuses as the tenant she put in is defaulting on rent and apparently the tenant ask for a substantial reduction in rent and I said no.

After we hang up my PM call me again and said they will hand the property management back to me because there are drugs and ice and ISIS issue.....

I ask if she has any evidence to support these statement and she said that's what the tenant told her....

Just want to see if anyone got property there experience the same thing??? I know recently there have a house caught on fire but that's pretty much the most dramatic news I can find....

The thing is there is no physical damage or anything....unless this is their tactic to hand back a bad tenant to me....she even tell me that I should sell my house now and cut my lost.....

Sounds more like the PM is on ICE rather than the tenant.

The PM put in a bad tenant and now want nothing to do with it now that they actually have to do work (instead of just taking a cut of the rent each week)?

I'd be telling the PM to fix the current tenant (get them inline or get them out), then they can quit and give up. Speak to the principle of the REA and see where that gets you.

Speak to the principal at the agency, tell him/her what you just told us, judge their reaction/intention.
If the same PM is still looking after your property a week later take your business elsewhere

If that be the case why are the Federal Police/ State Police not involved?

Thanks for the replied guys, finally switched to another agent and discovered MORE dodgy stuffs from the previous agent...

So it turns out that the current tenant is actually NOT in arrears and instead paid in advance, and the payment were coming from centre link too which is a huge relief for me. and these were not being told before and not showing up on my rental statements, what makes it worse is the agent kept asking me to reduce my rent because the tenant cannot pay rent and it is in arrears....

I believe the previous agent must be related to the tenant and some how their relationship turn ugly hence giving me all these BS.

    anyway lesson learnt!

Would there be a possibility to report the PM for professional misconduct in this situation?

thats disgusting! can you report it to the head of the agency, or are they all in it together?

in my experience, I find that the principal of hte agency usually start off willing to listen and show concern but ultimately end up defending the PM

@sumterrence curious to know which PM you switched to and if you're happy? I'm looking for a new PM for one of my IPs up there. Thanks :)

It sounds a bit like the PM may have confused your property with another property on his/her books.

Hi Jacque, I've switched to LJ Hooker, good or not I'm not sure yet as they tell me my garage door doesn't work properly as it doesn't go all the way up and it will go back down half way, and quoted me to replace the whole door and re-fit my current motor for $2k which I find that a bit insulting to my intelligent.

I'm still waiting for them to come back as I have told them just quote me on replacing the motor itself is fine.....
