    Hi all,

Our IP construction is about to commence. The contract has 6 progress payments. I was wondering if you guys think it is worthwhile getting a building consultant/inspector to inspect the work prior to releasing each progress payment? If so, would you recommend doing so at all payment stages or only certain ones?

The property being built is a fairly standard 3bed with 2 stories. It is one of seven in a development.

    Thanks!

    Yes, get independent inspections.

The cost of the inspector will far outweigh the potential risk of the unknown so I almost always recommend it

Definitely do. Your bank may also require this if you are seeking funding.
