Short Term Investment Options

I wanted to gain some insight into potential, fairly safe, investment areas for say 2 to 3 years.

The balance will be added to each month over the period so term deposits might be too hard. I will definitely withdraw the investment for cash so shares are no good due to capital fluctuations and not being able to pick my own exit timing.

I know nothing about bonds or bond funds, except that higher return has higher risk.

The only other option I know of is high interest savings accounts. Not sure current rates but presume 3% would be a stretch.
This would all be outside of Super - hence why I’ve asked anew, despite 2 other threads talking about interest savings accounts.
