    I'm old school.

My wet shave Bic triple blade razers cost less than $25 a year. and I just use ordinary soap.

With regular foil replacement and new cutters you will never be in front and a worse shave too.

I regularly used braun shavers until the mid 90s and then wised up.

Way too fancy for me :D

$60 Philishave. Bought a new one as my old one from 1998 went through its blade - replacement blades are $20 each (and in sets of 3) :(

This is only my 3rd Philishave, and only my 4th shaver ever (my first was a Remington - broke when I dropped it on vanity!)

I bought a Remington when Victor Kiam ("I was so impressed I bought the company") was advertising them.

They advertised "As close as a blade or your money back".

    I got by money back.

Long term Philishave user recently converted to Panasonic foil. Panasonic quicker, Philishave closer.

Sometimes I use both now (not at the same time). Neither as close as a blade but my skin can't handle a razor. YMMV.

I'm old school as well. Badger hair shaving brush, lather and a Mach 3 . I've never liked electric shavers. They don't give a close enough cut.

    Better yet again....use safety razors.

    Buy one of these....

$59 and will last a life time.

and 100 blades for $15 (will easily last 2 years)

and use with your favourite shaving soap/oil/gel/cream.

Not only is it extremely good value but it delivers a fantastic shave. In my experiences, less irritation and a closer shave than electric and multi bladed razors.

A quick update. So I went ahead and bought that shaver worth $300 at 50% discount. It's great so far. It shaves in 5 minutes without a cream. A charge will give you 5 hours and its water proof. Best shaver I ever had.

So you're either a gay man, a girl, or a straight man with a girl who needs to shave.

Either that, or the shaving is elsewhere on the body.

Also have shavette's if you want to get a feel for straight shaving. (Learn to shave with a straight razor!)
