You should move it to Monday night instead - would solve that problem (also, I could then come to the meetup!) :p

Hi wombat I can't contribute much but I want to learn more. Put me down for a 'plus one'. I will also bring my bro. Thanks for organising!

Yep. Still going ahead. Spoke to the venue yesterday and we’ll be upstairs.

Dividend Investing, Index Investing, Thornhill, Value Investment, Speculation, Trading.

    Whatever your interests are.

Off topic but have you considered progressively staging your money into your selected investments. Might allow you to opportunistically take advantage of any dip that occurs in a particular index or LIC. Could perhaps stage your funds in over several months. Not all would agree with this approach though.

I imagine @The Falcon would be keen to give a presentation on Speculation & Trading in particular. Be sure to ask him:D. Thornhill and LICs are also a favourite of his:).

Yep, boring old Boglefart he is nowadays:D. To much work and no fun has also aged him a lot lately. This latest photo of @The Falcon really has him showing his age:

Yes that is what I going to do...however am selling some individual shares and keeping it in cash before tipping it on falls. LICs seem to fall post dividends...so that presents some opportunities..so kind of DCA but timed to some degree.

    Bejesus....he has aged a lot since I saw him.....:D

I'm staying in the Melbourne CBD.

Anyone want to meet for coffee/breakfast at a Cafe?
