So easy to forget what the average joe thinks until you read comments like that. Have to remind myself PC is not representative of the broader community.

Oh man! The comments section is gold.

    The internet is revolutionary.

But it's downside is that it's also given a lot people a place to voice their opinions, free from indemnity.

Yep good for them herpy derpy. I kind of wish the media would stop running these stories though. More and more im starting to see an us vs them mentality developing with a lot of disgrunteled people commenting. God help you if you end up with someone like that for a tenant!

What a hoot......Blame the gummint for not releasing adequate land (how about all the land which has been landbanked? The mooted changes to strata laws requiring only 75% agreement to sell & redevelop).

Common themes were 'sacrifice', lived at home, saving, buy where you can afford, add value and perseverance.

They're basically anonymous so how are they not indemnified?

One just simply cannot read the comments on any cycling story.

    Correct.

And; never mentioned are the thousands of holiday houses around Aus which sit empty most of the year.

Not sure why so many people in those comments are trying to change other people's minds. Let them think what they want to think, good luck to them.
