My story... I had 2 properties in my early 20's which due to not realising the opportunity sold up and used the cash to fund travelling overseas for a year (amongst other irresponsible although life learning experiences). Came back into investing a little after my mid 20's only to get stung by trusting the wrong people and not putting the time into my own education. Looking back at this point I felt I had wasted so many opportunities and found it extremely frustrating, demotivating and depressing. After some releasing of this negative energy, I made a decision to use these 'mistakes' as fuel to succeed. I educated myself, spoke to people who walked the path and started to think more about what I wanted in life. Fast forward to 30, I had a set of life goals (which included building wealth through property) fuelled by my determination to succeed. Now with a deposit saved, I purchased a property in the view to accumulate and execute my goals. Over the last 5 years I have managed to buy 8 properties in Sydney, Brisbane & Adelaide and feel confident I'm on the right track to succeed in reaching my goals. Looking back and seeing the journey I've taken up to where I am now I'm pumped for what the future holds. The most important things for me were to learn from my 'mistakes', educate, set a plan and believe I can achieve it. Scotty
Well done Scotty, love the way you learnt from the mistakes and used it as motivation rather than let them bring you down.
G'day Scott and Datto! It's me, from Somersoft. Just thought I'd say hi. PS, Paging HandyAndy? If he's here, I'd like to say hi to him too.
