I've done a couple. Don't get fixated on a date and book early. And don't bother with the add on voucher things.

I've done a couple. With the travel, be careful with the fine print like "not on weekends", etc. Some ok deals sometimes, some limited deals that - if they suit your circumstances - are quite good.

Great deals usually, agree on reading the fine print thoroughly.
We also called the hotel before buying the voucher to confirm availability for the dates we were looking at before buying.

We recently used Scoopon to book accomodation in Bali, got an incredible package for a good price, I'd recommend it. Like someone said earlier, book early and have an open mind with your dates and you'll be fine. May be harder to use if you need a particular date.

Yep I use Groupon, Living Social and Our Deal for travel deals quite often.

Hubby and I have trouble getting away for long holidays, so a quick 3 night get away is a good substitute. I attempt to get away for a long weekend every 6-8 weeks.

Next week we are off to Fraser Island. Kingfisher Bay Resort

And in September over to Straddie. North Stradbroke: From $354 for an Apartment Escape with Bottle of Wine for Two People at Whale Watch Ocean Beach Resort

For me it is all about getting a good price and go to places that we would often not have considered .

It's a pity you're not able to come to the Barossa right now - the current vintage going out right now is meant to be pretty good. Wineries are in full swing with production, ABC had a story on it yesterday.

Barossa are wineries are the north end, Mclaren Vale are wineries at the south end.

North Tce in the city has all the art gallery, musuem, botanical gardens etc.

There's trendy cafe spots at Brighton near the beach.

I'm not sure what you're into.
