I have similar feelings. I have read so much on the forum about how QH is indian/sikh ethnic suburb but that was not the feeling when I was visiting open homes earlier last year. Every home we went to see had a local living in there. This may be because we were targeting a house or duplex and migrant community has not upgraded from townhouses in the area yet?

The NSW Government has the intention of extending the North West Rail Link to Schofields and beyond but no plan has formally been announced.

Stand outside Quaker Hills train station during peak hours and you will have a better idea.

100% of people living in Quaker Hills are 'locals' despite their different ethnicities :)

Since its an established suburb and most properties being sold today were bought atleast 5+ years ago, you won't see many ethnic sellers because they got into the market very recently.

It's a popular suburb with big families (due to bigger blocks) and I know a couple of families living there for 20+ years because they wouldn't find a better value elsewhere.

QH public school now has a OC class and the day they start running an express train to city on this line, you will see prices going up by a fair amount.

They already have express trains to the city. Infact approx every 7-10 mins in the peak hour which takes 45 mins to Central :)

I think the train station gives a wrong representation of the ethnicity living in a suburb. Almost all Indians living in QH will be working in the city while very few non-Indian city workers will be living in QH.

Albeit the ethnicity talk, QH is still a decent suburb in term of value per money.

Also, Quakers Hill station is used by the people in the hills, surrounding suburbs like Glenwood, Ponds, Glendening etc :)

Mostly, its owner occupied. It has 2 sides old and new side divided by the railway track. The one with the shops is the old side and the one near Police station is the new side.

That said, now both sides prices are the same.

Look for streets around the Farnham road shops, Barnier school, Aldi etc

Thanks so much! Albeit I noticed that the Quakers Hill Public has a catchment area which does not include the newer part of the suburb. hehehe I checked its ranking and it's not too bad.
