    Hi Guys,

I'm busy gathering information about how online users are protected on the internet. I ended up here because I red some articles addressing wire fraud scams on real estate agents. In these cases, the information of clients is being compromised by hackers. The hackers send phony e-mails that look identical to the legit agent's e-mails and will result in money wiring to the wrong accounts.

Now I am curious to hear your experiences related to this. Let me know if you ever received those kinds of e-mails or if you know any developments in security measures to tackle cyber criminals. Any useful information is welcome!

My uncle is a deposed leader of a small principality in Africa, you may have heard of it?

I need your bank account details to make a few deposits.

When I came across your profile it came to me that we were meant to be together. My love for you knows no boundaries. So I urge you, my one and only, please transfer $3,572.55 (not a cent more) to my account. I’ll explore the options to flying to your country (wherever it is) so we can be reunited forever.

Sorry for not introducing myself. I am a Dutch intern in Malaysia working for a security company in Kuala Lumpur. I am doing research on what the (online) security developments are in the property/real estate industry. It would be useful if I could get some information from people that are active in this industry. So that's why I posted on here. I hope you could help me out.

Australians are the most suspicious bunch of people. And I like it. As you have seen from responses pretty hard to dupe them. I would personally look in another country.

I see haha, I am just doing some research on several forums and in different countries. Unfortunately, no results yet on this forum. I'm still hoping to get some answers on my first post. So for the readers that can help me out, please let me know your experiences concerning scams on real estate agents or let me know if you know something about the security developments that are or will be implemented to tackle cybercrime.

You should be concentrating on the Scams the Real Estate agents put on Landlords !!!

Ringing landlords up to tell them of false repairs ,"oh the tenant has complained the toilet isnt flushing , we will send a plumber out their immediately , we have one on their way now for $500 !

Now i always always write to the tenant and give them my contact details, you would have to be naive to believe these agents are truthful
