I'm predicting we'll see it hit 30k at some point. Perhaps go past it

    Other predictions?

Back to where it was at the start of the year.

What a crappy "investment" . Unless you get in before those 2 week periods where it goes up 50%, the rest of the time it does pretty much nothing or just falls even more quickly than it rises.

Definitely not a place to invest anything serious in.

Well I personally wouldn't put any massive amount of money in, doesn't fit my risk tolerance. I put crypto in the ' super high risk speculation' box. If others make a killing and it fits their risk tolerances, more power to em. But I think all those starry eyed youngsters putting every last cent they have in hoping to make their fortune need to take pause and assess what they are actually doing in terms of risk.

    Why not?

Your "technical analysis" says it'll go below $30k. That's easy money!

    I say 22 to 25k.
Not traing it atm an no intention unless I get what I believe is a favorable setup.
Brokers also changed conditions making it harder to trade.

Not using any technical analysis. It's just a prediction.

But on a serious note why wouldn't I short it if I predict it'll drop significantly? In one word,

    Risk.

It simply falls out of my risk tolerances.

This post makes me follow crypto today. The drop is settling now and may even go back up. Seriously no idea. Prob not worth playing this risky game.

The level of volatility in crypto generally speaking is pretty high. As I said, I just doesn't meet my risk tolerances to place large amounts of money in.

Even if crypto goes to the moon, my decision would still be correct for me.

To be fair the risk in crypto reduces (like a lot of things) with time.

It's historically been not bad in the return and risk stakes if you buy and forget about it for a few years.

Just remember to fasten your seat belt.....

I bought forgot about few coins for a few years and yes it wasn’t a bad return. But I am now reluctant to invest that much money on a lot of unknown. Haven’t decided whether to cash out or leave it for another few more years.

@Sackie is clearly a CCP member with inside sources :D...as China has recently come out again to say all Crypto transactions are illegal. Pretty much reiterates that anything crypto will never ever be legitimate in the world's 2nd largest economy, other than something they might create, and therefore have 100% control of.

Crypto crashing harder now than me after a heavy night on the booze

Yesterday I decided to put some money where my mouth is and short crypto10, the global top 10 index. It's a pure gamble. I haven't risked a massive amount (20k) but gotta have some flutter during lockdown. That's the weekly chart.
