    Good afternoon

Please excuse my ignorance, I am a very new investor, with mainly normal residential investments so I don't have a lot of experience with zoning and R-codes! :)

We are 4 family members, interested in purchasing a lot that is 5.5 Hectares. We would like to build 4 houses for us all on it, but I think we will run into zoning restrictions limiting the amount of houses / grannyflats that can be built.

Could anyone please point me in the right direction or offer some advice on how we could potentially get around the issue? (If there will be an issue?)

    Kind regards
    E

Well you normally wouldn't be allowed to do this unless the zoning supported it. If you're not very at zoning regulations, you can call the council and they can usually give you a brief generalised answer.

Each council would have their own requirements.

Make an appointment and speak to someone in planning to discuss your requirements.
