    Hi PC,

Have been lurking for most of the membership and recently been active. I was wondering is there a way to receive updates via RSS to my work/private gmail account on threads I am watching and replying to?

I clicked on RSS and got some IT language.. clearly not the way to set up a RSS feed!

In the mean time I am refreshing the Alerts manually to see if there are new replies..

The URL link to this thread is
    RSS Feed

If I copy this, do I get direct notification to gmail?

I'm not aware of any way to have Gmail consume RSS feeds on its own. You can do it via IFTTT or in combination with an RSS reader like Feedly - but not directly in Gmail.

If you want to get notified of new threads, you can "watch" a forum:

You can also watch threads using a similar mechanism.

You should also check your preferences: https://www.propertychat.com.au/community/account/preferences - so that it automatically watches threads that you have created or replied to:

I've set up Feedly for now, appreciate the help.
On a related note, is there a way to be alerted when a new thread with certain key words are made?

Not at this point - you might be able to hack something together using Feedly and IFTTT perhaps?
