    No not beachside. You would most Definitely looking at over $450k+ dependent on proximity to beach

    My main idea was to just get in and capture growth

    Yes they have. They used to require houses being within 15 klms of the base..but recently they have okayed within 30 klms. They are not buying houses as much anymore but looking for newish houses which have all the mod cons for their personell. Watch this space this is going to be a large employer.

    I beleive it is 10 year project. I think negative impacts in terms of Supply and Demand would be insignificant.

    We just secured our very first investment property! Very exciting day for us! Beachside port Kennedy, 4x2, workshop, on nearly 800sq ms of land.
    Positively geared, we’re stoked! All the research and advice from you all paid off!!

    We got very lucky, $420,000 rent appraisal 450-470

    This sounds like a very good result congrats! Definitely looking at trying to get something similar if I pull the trigger on the area

    Looking at the middle pocket of Rockingham suburb itself (left of Read St). Does anyone know if the north (below Pattison road) or south (above Rae Road) pockets are better? North pockets seem to have more social housing

    Got my keys to Waikiki property yesterday.

    We need to paint, new window covering, probably blinds, new stove/oven, bathroom vanities, some light fittings, baits required for cockroaches, clean up garden, fix retic, its a big block….. oh well…..all doable.

    A very dirty, disgusting home atm. We are doing it all. Have not renovated anything for years. So much fun….. :confused:


    The downside is 45 minutes drive to get there


    The upside is 4x2 home in Waikiki is now $420,000 and rising

    Congratulations @MTR! You could pay someone to do it all but where would be the fun in that!

    Very smart buying, metrics for this suburb and surrounds are looking promising. Keep us updated on the progress, don’t forget to take plenty of before pics.

    I’m hoping to buy an investment in the same area, see what my broker says next week, strong yields certainly help.

    A lot of properties in Warnbro/Safety Bay/Waikiki are going under offer within a week - I had put in a bit of interest two weeks ago for a few and now my realestate app notifications are showing them all under offer - these are for $400k+ properties as well. Definitely reminding me of the Brisbane manic from last year!

    Yet I had someone on PC not from Perth, telling me I am wrong, I am dreaming. Perth market is not booming, multiple offers, selling within 1 week is a downturn

    Cos they read corelogic stats :eek: clearly they are wrong
