@Sea Change where are you getting your stock data from? Interested to know.
I relocated to Mackay for work 2 months ago and certainly found it a little more difficult to find rentals than we were expecting.
Its been reported the rental market is doing well however looking around seems houses for sale are still staying on the market for an extended period of time.

    btw , it's see change :)

sqmresearch ---> Property Data ----> Free Property Data .

They have vacancy rates , stock on market , and asking sale prices / rents plus other things , but those are the main ones I look at .

I also use the investing section of realestate.com where they have averages for ten years and one year .

Yep - we just got rid of a dog in Park Avenue and a local bought it for a steal to renovate. We just didn't want to wait any more and it needed too much work.

Confident it will go ahead now. Wishful thinking after all the hurdles they’ve already jumped to think it won’t happen.

Hows rocky doing at the moment? Are we starting to see it pick up?

Stock turning over more quickly with less price reductions. Not much price movement yet but expect it to come in the next 12 months.

Likewise. The lower end of the market (<$250k) is still pretty stagnant and the older stuff is too much of a hassle when you throw in maintenance, insurance and council rates on top.
