    Congratulations Skater, and BH!

You've been an inspiration to many - evidenced by the trail of well wishers in this thread.

@Bargain Hunter will need his hand to heal first. The stitches are now out, but it's very tender. It's going to take a while before he can use it again properly. Even writing and using a mouse hurts at this stage.

Carpel Tunnel release. That's why he retired now! He was due to finish on 24th September, but his doctor booked him for urgent surgery. When he told his boss that he'd be virtually useless for some weeks after the surgery (he knew he was finishing in Sept), they agreed to call it quits after he'd trained a new guy.

Ah fair enough....there seems to be alot of people who suffer from carpel.. I hope he recovers quickly so you can both enjoy the fruits of your well deserved newly found financial freedom. Enjoy! It sure beats working for a living.

Yes, we keep hearing of others that have had the same thing, and it varys from person to person with the recovery time.

    Hi Skater

    Inspirational stuff.

I remember you responding to Dazz about buying eagles (commercial) vs little birdies(residential) and how it was possible to live off rent through residential real estate. You have now done exactly that. Fantastic achievement!

Just a question about your PPOR and paying it off completely. Did you recycle your non-deductible PPOR debt to buy IPs (essentially reducing non-deductible to zero) or did you pay down your PPOR completely (principal and interest)?

Congratulations. You both deserve it. You've worked hard and made it happen. I'm hoping to post my "I'm outta here" post in 4 months. My friend has offered me her house in Bali next year for 2 months while she travels. Mmm! Tempting.

Ha!! Cry me a river Sash. Poor thing you!!

No, it's recycled but there's no non-deductible debt on it.

The offer is there for andrew whenever he is ready. I am happy to help him out wherever I can. Might be best to wait until the new year. You don't want to push it to much with the sort of work that we do as it can put him out for longer. Feel free to message me if you have any questions and I am more than happy to answer for you and Andrew.
