Congratulations to you both, couldn't have happened to a nicer, more dedicated couple.

Very happy that both of you are retired now. There's a few on the forums with only 1 partner retired, so hopefully they are next in line ;)

First IP was bought in 1998 but we started from a very low income and had lots of setbacks along the way.......so you should be able to improve on that.:p

We've seen most of Australia already, but it's a big world out there.:D

Hehe....we've worked with each other before....years ago now but there's lots of stuff to do & see, so I'm hoping it's all good!

I don't like divulging exact figures, but the portfolio numbers well into the double digits. First one purchased in 1998. Tips....CG is fantastic, but don't neglect yield. You need a decent yield to keep growing the portfolio.

To be honest, like I said in the first post.....we've still got the Business. We'll probably hold onto that for a few years yet, and the workload falls mainly to me. So, even with no personal income coming from it, even though Hubby's retired, I am not. He is now my dedicated 'stock boy".:D

Well done @skater and @Bargain Hunter!

What's your income level compared to when you were working? Do you have to change the standard of living or is it just business as usual.

Congratulations Skater! Love your success stories :)

I'm fairly new here in PC, but I just love the drive and the determination that many of the property investors here have to secure their own future.

I hope you'll have many wonderful & prosperous years ahead of you, Skater. Carpe diem! :D

    Perhaps I have a solution -
JV with daughter or you can go lo doc sub $750k, accountant signing off.:)

Markets are going to tank shortly, so perhaps sit back, glass of wine in one hand, remote in the other and just wait for the next cycle:p

    MTR:)
