Just realised that thread is locked. Anyone know why? My guess is the guy was a troll or bogus...

Hmmm. No idea. But yesterday afternoon I saw the exact same question with a few replies posted on the investchat forum.

I don’t give advice, only my opinion.

And, in most cases, my opinion is very one-eyed :D.

    Didn’t quite add up.
A just turned 22yo, yet very switched on, experienced and driven entrepreneur with 6 FT employees and many more part time, earning 300k after taxes and all other expenses including living and “family fines”, asking for basic investing advice in a predominantly residential property investment forum.

Yup, that's why I kept my reply very short. I didn't buy it.

Very odd and pretty ungrateful if you ask me, considering all the feedback given.

HE/SHE may have regretted to post in the public forum, thus requested to lock this thread.

Actually, not ungrateful at all. Appreciation was given for all the contributions.

There were other reasons given for the closure request.

I had thought that there must be a legit reason. Young guns with genuine situation and at the spur of the moment, felt the need to ask for advice and share limited information online but later regretted due to probably 'private/privacy' issue.

Maybe so, but every body who reads the forum can learn or be inspired by advice given to posts like this, even if fictional.
I’m sure some of the stuff I’ve read here in the past may not have been true in reality, but if it can inspire you enough to take some action then it’s helpful to progress, provided it’s not misleading information by scamsters trying to trap you.

Why would it be a shame? The posters who replied had nothing better to do with their time (or they would've been doing it), got to show off their knowledge and collect a few 'likes' along the way.

Many posters are generous with their time to contribute and help others in this community. Doesn't mean they have nothing better to do.

Well it does otherwise they'd be doing it but I also think people with many thousands of posts don't have much of a life anyway.

PS: can someone link this thread in here so I can have a look.

Believe me, I've got more of a life then you could ever dream of having.
