    Hi all,

Just a question for those that have restumped a house where access had to be made through the floor..

Is the floor destroyed to get through, or taken out and put back...

    Thank you

Depends what your floor is. If it is chipboard then you will need to replace. If it is T&G then it will boil down to how much time you want to pay your contractor for to pull up. I would suggest though that old mate restumper won't be the most delicate of souls with your floor.

You're lucky to achieve 50% salvage rate with t&g flooring.

If you want to put back the existing flooring, you will notice the joins - assuming that you can salvage the flooring at all.

Easiest way would be to replace the affected areas with something cheap (ie chipboard) and throw your carpet/floating floor over the top.

Have you done the restumpping yet? Is the trademan good? Do you mind to share the stumper to me? I am looking for someone helps me to do stumpping for the lounge. It is so expensive, get quote from $7000 to $13000. But not sure who is good. thank you
