    Hi PCers,

I have recently come across a residential property that is zoned residential but is a perfect candidate for a small medical practice:
    - corner block,
    - heaps of parking (seperate staff and visitor)
    - multiple rooms surrounding a kitchen/dining that could be converted into a reception area,
    - single story

Is it possible to buy residential property and then advertise it to professionals requiring office space, or would it need to be zoned commercial? If you can what are the potential issues?

Thanks in advance. Let me know if you need more information.

Thanks Scott. So it's in QLD and zoned as Low Density Residential (LDR).

Would it need to have a zoning of mixed, special purpose, etc for me to do as described above?

Calling the council in the morning might be a good start
