    Hi,

I am replacing gutters on this block of units. Seems like mission brown is out of fashion as colorbond make it anymore. I was hoping for like for like replacement as the windows and window sills are the same colour. Any ideas on a suitable color that would work here. Otherwise it will cost be about $2000 more to paint them to match existing.

    Cheers

We don't disagree often, but here's an exception ;) Never, ever will I use white gutters again. The roofer tried to talk me out of it but Mrs Propertunity won. Several years down the track and white gutters look dirty all the time (because they are).

I'd choose a very dark colour, like a dark grey (or Monument). BUT you really need to incorporate the decision with colour choice of anything else you need to change over too.

Mission brown was out of fashion by the time the 1970's rolled into the 1980's. If you're addicted to brown, then colorbond do make a colour called Terrain.

Choose a dark grey to match the roof instead

If you can't get mission brown, khaki will substitute fine.

I replaced some this year and chose, ‘ironstone’ which is a really nice dark grey. I have been recommending the colour to everyone.

I'd go dark - there's now way I'd go white on those dark buildings!

We did some of ours monument and they look awesome but the walls are not as dark as yours.

Monument. When you get time paint the windowsills and frames too.

Are the frames wood or aluminum? Painting aluminium is a bit trickier if you want an enduring result...

Match the roof colour as closely as possible, using colorbond.
