    Ive read a few other posts with very few success stories listed.
    I am already heading down this path with the latest reno, just wanted to explore if it could be possible to work for myself on my own projects, possibly claim some expenses, set up trade accounts for materials etc.
    However it looks like the discounted CGT after 12 mths cant be matched if this is done infrequently & unintentionally so as not to draw attention by the tax person.

    The worst I have seen is bad electrical work by a licenced electrician........'s apprentice. I don't mind if the apprentice is doing work under the supervision of the electrician but don't send your apprentice to site to work unsupervised :mad:

    The last place I bought, the previous owner installed a DIY driveway with stolen concrete o_O and did some illegal DIY plumbing :eek:
