Hi guys, I am in the process of developing one of my properties. But thought if this could be relocated for better use on a vacant land. Has anyone in Melbourne done this process? What companies have you used? Any obstacles faced? Has it been financially feasible? Would like to hear your feedback on this strategy
i haven't done it but i am very interested in doing a program. Having trouble getting companies to come out and quote or provide decent information as we are about 12 months off doing it (maybe i need to just lie). The initial quotes are about $80k for a 3 bed place to move about 200km, on the other end it needs services (as per a new build), new roof, plaster work, and rewire. The council is ok with it all, but we are looking at dropping it into a regional hub which is about 10k population. It looks like we need to fund it 100% ourselves and there is a reborrow opportunity once sorted. Keep us updated, if you wanted to chat and share quotes/spreadsheets/etc... send me a pm.

I have a quote that is currently making the project look viable, so we are green lighting in the idea and have engaged someone to draw up plans to develop the block the house currently sits on. Won't be much progress from here while that goes through.
