    Yeah things were definitely better back in the day, when being born frmale was a major disadvantage, we had a white australia policy and the original inhabitants of thos land were not considered to be people. Ahh bliss

    Btw I think we still have far to go on the topic of equality, that isn't a 'back in the day' scenario.

    I thought he was suggesting that no matter how sincerely decent he is, there will always be those who take his respectful offer the wrong way and turn it around to insult him.
