I've got a latex mattress that is really nice (would have been very expensive in the day), but the pillow topper is absolutely filthy and falling apart. Does anyone know of any place that will take off the outer layer and put an new pillow topper on the mattress? Or does this sort of thing not exist? Would be a shame to throw out a mattress just because the cheapest part of it is damaged.

There are a few latex mattress places in Melbourne (I think there is one on Warrigal Rd Cheltenham. However, they may be reluctant to work on another company’s mattress. I suggest getting a mattress pad from Ikea. I bought one for $300 a few years ago that has a thin layer of latex as well as padding and a cotton cover. It’s brilliant. Also, if the current topper is filthy, next time use a mattress protector with your mattress!
