I recently purchased a house which is over 30 years old. It is solid in terms of structure and foundation. Is it worth requesting council report for outstanding notices section 121ZP (Health) and 735A (building) notices?

The solicitors from vendor side have mentioned in email that there hasn't been any construction works in the last 7 years that would need council approval.

If by any chance I found out that indeed there has been such a thing constructed at later point of time and if I wish to sell the house in future, will I be in trouble with fines and demolitions?

I am not sure if these reports would really help and also they cost like $200 to get them. I am not much fussed about the money it takes but just want to understand it's importance for future.

    Thanks
