    Hi All
Am in the final throws of designing my new floor fitout. Layout is pretty much sorted and now looking at reception ideas.

    My reception consists of
    1. A 4 person reception desk - to be built in and of a style to be determined.
    2. A 3 x 3 waiting area to the left of reception

I haven't settled on timber or tiles for the floor, material for the reception desk or decorative finishes.

    Anyone with any great ideas?

I quite like a timber look

    Very nice link!

I think some things not to avoid are
    dark and dim
Hospital feel, or that white clinical type feel
Uncomfortable seats or furniture, and cramped

Depends on the business and how many people are coming through to i guess.

Windows, natural light and some nice landscape pictures or bright paintings would be good

As an "admin" person. My only advice is make sure there is enough room for each person to have some desk space as well and keyboard space.. A decent amount of drawers for storage too.
