    Hi everyone,

I recently wanted to purchase a property in Mackay and I paid a deposit after looking at the advertised photos of the property. When I went to see the property I was horrified to see that the front façade of the property is completely different to the advertised property.

When I told this to the listing estate agent he just quickly changed the photos on the listing. I have the original photos. I want to pull out of the contact. Is that a good enough reason I can pull out?

Have you got the two photos to compare?

What the hell, the drive way is even on the opposite side.

Is the orientation of the house entirely different as well?

Are the interior photos correct? I can see a fence in the advert (domain.com.au) but nothing similar in the external photo.

There is no feature wall in the actual property. Some interior photos are also from another property next door

It is a duplex. The original photos posted to sell this are from another neighbouring property

Ask your lawyer (not a conveyancer) - is misrepresentation a reasonable grounds to rescind the contract?

Or, pick the property with more land/better features/orientation and tell them they mixed the address up :D
