For those interested in what REAs can and cannot do with photo-shopping for averts. They do it more than you think. "In 2015, Campaigntrack’s team of 40 professionals retouched 124,088 real estate images".

'hygiene items'. Is that what they are called now?

I think there's a whole website out there dedicated to *cough* hygiene items *cough* on bedside tables and vanities in real estate photography.

There is a filter they use a lot now and it makes ragged interiors look bright and defined and fresh but also sort of cartoony or 'drawn'.

I note the article didn't say anything about light but imo that could be deceptive e.g shopping a permanently dark room as really bright 'during the day'

There are a few websites offering virtual staging where they will insert digital furniture and fittings into your property photos to make it look better when advertising to sell.

I am a professional photographer of architecture, interiors and real estate. Majority of my work is for agents. Any questions I might be able to help out.
