    Sorry that article makes to much sense.
    I can’t subscribe to that. I’m going to worry and panic about the state of the market until the next correction arrives. Then when it arrives I’m going to worry about the drop in share prices. And after they recover I will start worrying about the next drop.

    The last paragraph sums up the situation rather nicely - no body knows.

    "We could go into a recession tomorrow or the expansion could chug along for another few years. No one knows for sure. So the way that you plan for this inherent uncertainty is by diversifying your portfolio enough so it’s able to withstand a wide range of economic and market environments."

    Lic dividend smoothing would definitely help :)

    A Wealth of Common Sense is probably my favourite weekly podcast. I have a lot of respect for Ritholtz Wealth Management, Barry's Masters in Business podcast has some absolute gems in it.
