Investing requires you to make decisions using data from the past and hunches in the present about risks and rewards you will harvest in the future-filling you with feelings like hope, greed, cockiness, surprise, fear, panic, regret, and happiness. - Jason Zweig.

QVE dropped down to $1.08 today - I finally dived in and bought some after sitting on the sidelines for ages. The discount to NTA has been steadily increasing, making it a whole lot more attractive.

it is not discount to NTA if you considered what is happening between Sept and now
the market has dropped so the NTA would have been lower, how much you dont know till next Oct report

it is hard to know the exact value of NTA at any point in time as you don't know their full holding position you have to wait for them to report NTA in an announcement.

future markets point to another day of sell off tomorrow
currently Dow future got hammer another 1.36%, ASX 200 future 1.25%, FTSE 100 still trading and down 1.91%, NASDAQ 1.5%

red all around but support is probably building for the ASX if another round of sell off tomorrow take care out there

and future market is error prone so you need to know your stuff to read future market and you can make money exploiting this error

True, you don’t know what the NTA is but you can make an approximation based on market movements. NTA at 30 September was reported at $1.22 cum div so deduct the 3 cent dividend and we have NTA ex div at $1.19. ASX ex20 has dropped around 6% since 30 Sept so guesstimate NTA around $1.12..

Tends to be quite volatile. See it reached a low of $1.02 today.

DRP calculation end date is tomorrow, 1 Mar.
Perhaps, it's a good thing for investors that have DRP on? Regardless, not sure if this is the reason why the price has dropped a little.

I'm sitting on the fence with this one......Purchased then sold it a few months later. Looking at it again. Discount is tempting but plenty of other LICs are at similar discounts. I'm not sure this LIC will stay viable long term if Anton and Co cannot 'turn' it around.
