Although I would call this a B grade opportunity due to relative strength being weak for some time....

    QVE RRG 1FEB18.png

....it is moving towards the improving quadrant and the technical picture does look reasonable for a long or accumulation opportunity.

Weekly price chart looks to be near completion of a W4 and decent place for an entry although I do have an alternate wave count that is less likely. Target 1.43/1.50 for W5 end. Then if the wave count evolves as per the script and following W5 is an ABC correction there should be a second chance (long way off) to re-enter at a similar zone to where we are now as an ABC correction has strong chance of ending in a similar zone to the end of W4.

    No advice

Ah now I know why Anton T has lost his investing mojo. He’s too busy watching his Team’s soccer matches and losing money. And perhaps the reason he’s selling some of his QVE shares:D:

How Investors Mutual's Anton Tagliaferro ended up buying a soccer club in Malta

More NTA premium/discount fluctuations than underlying portfolio performance from a 10 second look.

Picked up a $5K parcel at exactly this price today. Only time will tell if it was a good price to pay. As usual, looking for long term dividend growth from a high conviction funds manager.

I woudn’t worry too much about it.

Notice QVE share price is most volatile today. It must be due to PCers buying and pushing demand/higher prices!

Yep... Called two agents yesterday about selling an IP. Want some funds freed up for opportunities in 2nd half of the year (or just keep regularly buying in).

This is a good thread to look back over, plenty of excitement over QVE at premiums.

If one still has faith in the manager and ex20 mantra now might be the time, discount to NTA.

PGH (Pact Group Holding) which is QVE 6th largest holding is taking a bit of hammering today down over 8%. May be that is having some impact. PGH is not having good year is down more than 40% already.

    Cheers,
    Oracle.

PGH is only a 3.6% holding, so minor effect if any.

The market just doesnt think that IML has got it anymore, they have been hammered by the benchmark since inception. Personally, at current valuations if I was going to buy any LIC then QVE would be strongly considered. But I'm not :p

They also took bit of hit with their investment in FBU (Fletcher Building) I remember around 2016/2017 it used to be their top holding now doesn't show up among top 10. Price has come down from high of $10 to under $6.

    Cheers,
    Oracle.
